Applied and received 485 receipt number in October 2007, went for finger printing in November, EAD cards arrived.
employer changed office space locations in March 2008 no update was provided to USCIS as we just shifted certain operations to a bigger space and older address still valid for receiving letters
May 2008 140 case transferred from Nebraska to Texas service center
September 2008 dreaded email from USCIS automated systems "RFE request for initial evidence case placed on hold"
waited 10 days no response Lawyers called 1st time to USCIS help line received response that about duplicate notice sent. re-verified addresses for both lawyers and employers
15th day from RFE notice employer called USCIS (applicate cannot speak as 140 cases pertain to employer)updated address for employer provided
20th day from RFE notice Lawyers called again help line same response indicating another notice sent. Lawyers also send letter out to Nebraska service center indicating not receiving of RFE letter
28th day from RFE notice employer calls again (this time 800 number found on immigration portal website belived to be the 800 number for Texas service center) same response. USCIS officials issue a tracking case # and indicate that employer would either receive email within 5 working days or notice within 2 weeks.
30th day from RFE notice Lawyer call USCIS again about not receiving the RFE documents. New letter drafted and sent to the Texas service center.
Lawyers ask for assistance from ALA (American Lawyers Associations) for determination of status of RFE
Today we stand at the 43rd from the date of email from USCIS about RFE and no letter has yet being received by either employer or Lawyers
what am I supposed to do? what are my options?

My suggestion would be to get in touch with your local DMV/auto insurance agent regarding the legal requirements for someone on visitors visa to drive in US.
I am sure he can drive with an Indian international license, but I think "meridiani.planum" is talking more in terms of liability issues. For example, if there is an accident or any other lawsuit (driving or non-driving related), will the sponsored party (the one who sent the letter that got him the visa) be liable?
Does anyone know about this?

Anyone please advice if I need to get verified the PIMS check before my h1 visa interview at Kolkata, I have an appointment on 1st week of Jan2011.

My H1 petition (3 yr extension after completion of 6 yrs) was approved on 10/4/2010 and I had my visa interview at the Kolkata Consulate on 10/29/2010. I was a little concerned because PIMS had mostly been an issue for newly approved petitions and in my case the approval was granted only 25 days before the interview. On the interview day, we were made to wait a little longer than the B1/B2 cases and the visa officer finally called us. We were asked some formal questions and visa was granted. Possibly the PIMS verification was done while we were waiting. Hope this helps!!

Bluez if dates move back then they will take effect from Sept 01 and you are already attending interview in Aug. Now as per law there no other bulletin can be issued for Aug again. If you rememebr same thing happend last year in July and then second bulletin had to be withdrawn. So don't worry have fun and enjoy.

I just called the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 to get clarification.
The representative I talked to checked with her supervisor, and her response was the following:
- The OMB number at the top is something related to the medical board and has nothing to do with the USCIS. The expiry date is irrelevant to the USCIS. The USCIS only cares about the revision date at the bottom (09/16/05).
In other words, the form that is currently on the USCIS web site is acceptable now and in the future (past 6/30/07) until whenever the USCIS changes which revision of the I-693 will be considered acceptable.

The indian consulate needs a proof of address for me and my wife
We sent them the Property tax bill and hoped that it would work but get this mail from travisa
Proof Of Residence - Unacceptable
The proof of address received in your application is not acceptable for submission to the Indian Consulate. You must submit a proof of residence/address that matches the present address on the PIO application exactly. Photocopy of state issued ID (Driver License or ID), or major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, Sewage) or a copy of a lease containing both the landlord and tenant signatures must be submitted. The following items are not accepted: cell phone bill, credit card statement or bank statement. The address cannot include a P.O. box. For minors, a parent or guardian proof of address from both parents may be submitted instead. You can fax the proof of address to Fax: (415) 644-0158. In addition, you also have the option of mailing a paper copy to the address below.
Now why does not a property tax not work ? it is issues by the county.
We do not have the current address on my wife's driver's license and her name is not there on the PGandE bill

Inspite of telling my lawyer she did the mistake of sending my EAD and AP before 120 day period. EAD filed 121 days prior and AP filed 148 days prior. I have gotten the receipts of both but AP status says that they have requested more information/evidence. I am wondering what additional information they need. Anyone else in this situation ?

I am planning on taking an interview date in Delhi. I read that for mumbai, you have to drop your docs 1 week prior to your appointment. Can anyone explain the procedure for Delhi, please?
I am still waiting for it to show the availablity. But I got HDFC receipt from India.
Once date is shown- I will apply for non immigrant visa on the website. Now will they ask me to put my petition info (I-797) at this time? Or I will just fill in DS 156 and DS 157 forms??
Once I fill in the forms (with bar code), I will have to take them along in the interview. Is it true?? Or I will have to drop out my docs. at VFS location even for Delhi consulate????

Generally FOIA does't give approval notice. But other stuff you recieved should be enough. What date did you use for port of entry, your first one or the latest one?
I use the last time I entered into US NOT the first time.
