My lawyer sent me the fedex tracking sheet for the I-485 package sent to:
USCIS
Nebraska Service Center
850 S Street
Lincoln, NE 68508
I did not see any PO Box on the Fedex tracking sheet. I am not sure if she put the PO Box on the shipping label or not??
Is it a big deal?? Will my application be accepted.
Please help
po box is for usps delivery only. fedex doesn't delivery mails addressed to po box.

Traveling for the 1st time on AP (used H1 stamp previously, now I am on ead), wanted to know how the experience at SFO is. Do they always send you for secondary inspection? Anything else to know beforehand?

I came in Jan and secondary inspection took only 10 mins. Just gave the PP and AP doc.

Whether you have used EAD or not is not an issues. You can file renewal anytime. Just send the current copy of your H1 while renewing. Also you don't need to go through lawyer to file EAD or renewal of EAD. I e-filed EAD for myself and my wife on my own the first time. I also filed renewals and got them in about 2 months time.
Let me know if you need any information on renewal process.
About AP: Since you have used AP, there is no expiration of I-94. Even when your AP expires, Ur I-94 is valid till you do not get a decision on your PR application.

Duh... Guess I haven't woken up properly yet! Now I re-read all the posts, you're absolutely correct. Oops.
Anyway, I've found the break apart doodad can be quite hit and miss. I had a picture of some trees for an X-Files stylee website design I was toying around with, and they came out awfully, while some pylons came out even better. Neither were anything too radical, just basically black and white images.

Hey Guys
I need your help on these issues. My labor certification was filed on October 25th 2006 and had it approved on 5th of November 2006.
Now my employer is ready to file the 1-140 together with 1-1485. My question is, I do not know whether my priority date is current for the filing of these forms.
Looking at the above filing date, can some one brief me on my likely priority date?
The other question is, even though my employer is taking the responsibilty of my filing process, I am paying all the expenses ( be it the Attorney fee as well as other additional fees are being borne by me).
When do you think will be appropriate for me to quit this job after my 1-140 and 1-1485 have been filed? Please advice me on this because my initially promised to pay for all the expenses but denied this after I have taken up the job.

You can work for a while but it will be considered UNAUTHORISED employment. Accumulation of 6 months of UNAUTHORISED STAY + UNAUTHORISED EMPLOYMENT will make you ineligible for I485. That is a huge risk to take.....
OH law firm : A flood of foreign workers and their family members filed around this time last year the employment-based EB-485 applications along with or followed by filing of their ancillary applications of EAD and/or Advance Parole. Since the initial EAD was valid only for one year. these applicants are currently filing the EAD renewals en masse. However, some of these applicants are likely to face failure of receiving the renewed cards timely before the initial card expires for either the USCIS backlogs or security check issues. Those who face such gap should remember that the unauthorized employment will make them ineligible for I-485 approval unless they are eligible for the 245(K) relief. In this regard, the recently released 245(K) Memorandum was "very timely" particularly for the July 2007 VB fiasco filers of I-485 applications in that any period of unauthorized employment "after" filing of their I-485 applications is added and tacked on any period of their violation of nonimmigrant status and/or unauthorized employment which had been aggregated within six months "immediately prior to" filing of their I-485 applications since their "last admission to the U.S." For instance, if one filed I-485 applications with the record of less than six months of violation of nonimmigrant status and/or unauthorized employment immediately prior to filing I-485 application since the last admission to the U.S., he or she was eligible for I-485 application filing deespite their violation of the law. However, should the same applicant engage in unauthorized employment while they wait for the I-485 applications, he or she could exceed total of six months of violations when they aggregate the total period of violation prior to I-485 filing and "post" filing of I-485 application. The webfaxes are effective! I just got off the phone with Senator Chambliss' immigration department. The person I spoke with (can't remember his name) mentioned the usual spiel: They were working on increasing the H1-B cap. They didn't seem aware of the retrogression issues. I clarified the problems we are facing and how they shouldn't be combined with illegal immigration and H1-b issues. He mentioned that the senate (with Senator Chambliss' help) passed legislation a couple of months ago to recapture visa numbers and was waiting for the House to pass the same measure. Is that true? In any case, our message is reaching the corridors of power. Good job guys!

My wife will be coming back in April 2nd week through Denver. CO POE. Her AP is valid until June 3rd week.
My question is that is 2 months of AP validity / cushion enough or safe to enter the US.
Any experiences from forum members about using their AP when there is 2 months or less left in the expiry of the AP document and they entered the US. Did anyone have any bad experience at POE due to near expiry of the AP. Members entered through Denver, CO POE with their experiences would be an added help.

I am almost ready to file 3 years H-1 extension based on I-140 approval and priority date not current (as of day before yesterday that is what we all knew). Since I don't have 365 days for the labor filing, I am not eligible for 1 year extension.
I wrote that to my lawyer and they told me that we can still file before the end of June using premium processing since the priority date are current effective July 1st. But they don't know how USCIS will act. They may approve the extension for 3 years or they may deny the extension.

She doesn't need a paystub to change from H-4 to H-1B. In fact, a paystub would hurt since she should not be working in H-4 status.
2) If #1 is okay what are DOCs she or me (if applicable) has to provide.
The employer's attorney will tell her what documents she needs to probe her current status.
3) How long does it take to complete the COS if done by PP.
PP guarantees a response in 15 calendar days
