Great, now they will seal up all the doors and windows at Foxconn and cavity search the employees when the are allowed out. And some employees will just mysteriously disappear.

I might just be missing something here but how does this imply that Apple is putting thunderbolt in here?
I can see where they made the minidisplay port (which is the same form factor as thunderbolt) a dual channel now instead of just a one way channel but wouldn't it say thunderbolt instead of minidisplay port? or is a dual channel minidisplay port just a thunderbolt port? and if minidisplay is on the current 30-pin how is it currently used--do you need an adapter for USB to minidisplay?
i guess i am kind of answering my own question here but does that mean in the future if apple were to say make its own TV one could use the 30-pin connector to plug right into the back of a TV (into a minidisplay port) and play movies/music like that without the need for an HDMI cable?

If I would leak something, I would make sure the device is clean, the camera is in focus and there is enough light.
Why are leaked images (almost) always such bad quality?
PR images are boring.

I got in line at Knox at roughly 5am. At 7:30 an apple employee came out to hand out tickets. He got 15 people down the line and then said he was out. I was about 20-30th in line. Sounds like we all got fed a line of BS when we were told they held all shipments from this week for Sat. morning.

I can understand why they are doing this. This is a new product and there is no preexisting PPC version out there. It almost seems like a waste of development time since a good portion of the customer base who would be purchasing this will have an Intel mac by mid-2007.
Still sucks for the quad G5 mac owners. Now I'm just waiting for the first Intel-only mac game to come out, lol.

Not really sure of the point of push as emails come through about facebook activity anyway.....
Contacts sync is an awesome idea though! Just did it and it downloads the photos and puts a link to the facebook page in each contact....
It doesn't mess up your contacts at all!

I don't get the big deal. It only screams "rob me" if you have ****** friends and let everyone know where you live. If those apply to you, you've got far bigger problems than Facebook. Personally, i don't care what Facebook knows about me or shares with people.

I'm still not getting ANY notifications for FB. I've reset my iPhone twice, reinstalled the app twice, then I started having serious problems with the iPhone... took over 10 minutes to reboot, then all apps were crashing... so I restored the iPhone... still no push notifications. This is driving me absolutely insane.

if the answer is yes, then we recommend you ask your friends:
"do you use a mac or pc?"
"are you happy or frustrated with computers?"
i can't think about anything better than letting customers interview their own friends... it gets some buzz going and gets people talking publicly more

I know there's no real estate for it, but I wouldn't complain it if had a dedicated Ethernet port.
They could very easily do it like the VAIO X-

Flip it down to use it, flip it back up to maintain its thinness. It works because all the Ethernet pins are one side only.
Works well on my X128. (that thing is as thin and way lighter than the Air btw so don't say it isn't possible because it's heavier or thicker or anything)

Get a 13" MBP.
Why should one have to compromise on weight, thinness and portability when the above solution is possible?

I do wish people in this forum stop referring to 'the military' as though they were some sort of alien life-forms. 'The military' are people, and even if you happen to be in the oh-so-unique moral high ground of opposing war and violence from your comfortable desk, soldiers deserve the best kit we can afford to give them. Ditto for the returning veterans. And their families.

While I have no interest in this app, it is disappointing that they left PowerPC in the dust. Hopefully this isn't a new trend other companies will follow.
Apple is quickly moving its focus towards Intel Macs, and no longer sells Power PC systems in many places.
While that may be true, there are still plenty of PowerPC customers out there. Probably more than Mac x86, right? Then again, as it was said by someone here, this was probably just meant to be a Windows only app, so they might have just made a Mac x86 version so that there could be some Mac support.

got about 5 general anesthesias in my life. there is nothing to worry about. you go in, they give you an IV. they turn it up, you wake up in your room. you don't even really remember how you fell asleep. you think 1 min has passed, you're tired and a little dizzy. the fact that you urgently need to pee now tell's you it's been much more than 1 min.
